Memorial Day Haul

Memorial Day Haul

I know, I know--Memorial Day was two weeks ago but it took me a good week to have all the stuff that I bought get delivered and then I was sick the past week. Anyway, let's cut to the chase and see some of the stuff I bought during Memorial Day weekend, shall we?

I got a number of things from Sephora--some lashes, an eyeshadow palette, highlighter and moisturizer.

The Fun Palette by Ciaté London

Ciate London recently released three new palettes: Pretty, Fun and Fearless. I wanted to get all three palettes but as this is the first time I've ever bought one of their products, I didn't want to waste my money on something I may not like (or may not be good). I'll be posting some swatches on this eye palette soon but these colors are so gorgeous! They'll do well for the summer. If I like them, I may get Pretty and Fearless.

Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo by bareMinerals

I'm always on the hunt for a new highlighter and I can't wait to try this new one from bareMinerals! I have a friend who swore by bareMinerals but this is my first foray into their products. I've read some mixed reviews on this but I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one. It looks pretty though, doesn't it?

Fluff'n Whispie by Velour Lashes

I've been loving my Velour Lashes ever since I got them so I decided to get another pair. This time, I get the "Fluff'n Whispie." They seem a little thicker than the "Trust Me, Try It," which were already thicker than I'm used to to begin with so I'm a little concerned. I'll let you know how I feel when I try them out.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ by CLINIQUE

Ok, this one isn't such a fun purchase as it is a necessity. I've used Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ for maybe over 10 years now and I've never been able to find one that works as well for my skin. I tried one by Kiehl's a few years ago and it irritated me eyes. I am interested in trying out other moisturizers though so let me know of any good ones in the comment section.

Jeans are easy to wear and I've been wearing the same American Eagle and Banana Republic jeans over and over so I figured it's time to add more to wardrobe. I got two pair from Zara, each for $39.90.

Elaina by Pour La Victoire

Finally, my favorite purchase! I mentioned these shoes a few posts back when my husband and I made a deal that I can get these if I get 500 subscribers on YouTube. Well, Pour La Victoire had a 50% off sale during Memorial Day weekend so he relented and agreed to let me live! Behold, the Elaina heels by Pour La Victoire!

I am quite pleased with my purchases and I can't wait to try them all. Now, if only I can get rid of this cold and if we can get some proper summer weather in Houston.
