Review: My West Elm Dressing Table
I've had the same Ikea dressing table since 2011 when everyone was raving about it. It has served me well but my taste has changed since then and it definitely won't match the theme of my new dressing room/office at the new house. Even though this was not a priority, I still browsed around online to see what kind of desks would be available to me once I'm ready to buy one. I fell in love with one from Anthropologie but knew immediately that it was out of my price range. By a lot. So I kept looking.
My criteria were it had to be white and have gold hardware. Many of the ones I found were either too expensive or appeared cheap. That's when I decided to go to the West Elm website (as I tend to do) and found the Audrey desk. My husband recommended that I get it since I finally found my desk but getting my desk was not at the top of my list so I decided to place it in the back burner.
However, we went to Austin recently and like we usually do, decided to hit up the outlet mall on the way home. There is a West Elm outlet there and I figured there might be a very small chance of seeing it there. I was so happy to find my Audrey desk there in perfect condition and with around 50% off, there was no way I could pass this up!
I absolutely love my Audrey desk. The color is more of an eggshell color but you can't really tell unless you really look at it. I I love the gold hardware, which looks and feels like it has some weight to it and not like cheap plastic. The only thing that can make this desk even better is having it set up on my new dressing room. I can't wait for our home to be finished so I can start putting all of the pieces of this dressing room puzzle together!
